Look for the recent East of the Hills Map in one of our Supporting Member Bike Shops.

Our map distributor and resident cartographer, Derek Liecty, led the 2-year effort to revise the West of the Hills Map. Even with tremendous volunteer labor contributions, this project still cost us over $59,000. You can imagine our excitement when we received an expedited pre-shipment in time for the 2008 Solano Stroll. The new map is now available--with membership--at events and our Fruitvale Village office and should be available at our Supporting Member Shops in October 2008.

EBBC maps are "by bicyclists, for bicyclists" and we encourage you to contribute your revisions. Please review the map key and clearly mark suggested changes directly on your map and mail it to EBBC Map Committee (address below) along with your contact information. We will immediately send you a replacement map.

EBBC Bicycle Transportation Maps can be purchased at Supporting Bike Shops (note EBBC members get a discount). EBBC maps identify EVERY STREET in all 33 cities and provide essential information for bicyclists:

Map 1: West of the Hills covers western Alameda and Contra Costa counties, including the Richmond, Berkeley, Oakland, Hayward, and Fremont areas.

Map 2: East of the Hills covers central and eastern Contra Costa County, including Concord, Walnut Creek, Pittsburg, Antioch; plus eastern Alameda County's Tri-Valley (Livermore, Dublin, and Pleasanton areas).

Both maps can be purchased at local Supporting Bike Shops. EBBC members get discounts at over 35 supporting shops.

Krebs Cycle Products produces great touring maps for Northern California. Before moving to Aptos, Richard Krebs was an EBBC volunteer. He has our respect!

• MTC Online Bikemapper Interactive maps leave much to be desired for bicyclists (bicycle rides are not like rental car trips!), but the Bikemapper offers Bay Area bikeway data and trip planning.
