BTWD Bike Away From Work Party

Celebrate a successful Bike to Work Day at the Bike Away From Work Party. Here's just some of the fun to be had: live music and a DJ, delicious food and drinks, a bicycle fashion show, and the presentation of the 2009 Bike Commuter of the Year Awards. We're also selling raffle tickets for tons of great prizes including bike accessories, gift certificates, and getaways. This block party is in the Temescal District of Oakland on Telegraph at 49th Street. Join us!

Stop by for an hour or two (or three), and enjoy the company of other EBBC members and staff. We train you about the byzantine world of postal ZIP sorting as trays of newsletters await your attention to scribble renewal appeals to fellow members. And don't forget, dinner is on us. If you can't attend and need to renew your membership, just click on "Join" to keep your membership current and support our efforts.

Raffle prizes, suds and fun!

Emeryville's Chief of Police raised his eyebrows when he heard over 300 bicyclists were heading his way. He said, "Rudy's is awful small for a big crowd, why don't we close a street?" yippeee!!

Free valet bike parking.

Don't forget your lights. Drink responsibly, or practice loading your bike on transit for the trip home!
